In my head i’ve been contemplating the right words to see from my own point of view the meaning of this quote. Love and LUST are not equal things. In other words stick to what you love, not to what you desire. The real difference between love and lust is time. Lust is the fluttery butterflies in the stomach, the counting down of hours until you can see that person again, waiting by the phone just to receive a call, and looking back and forth on your phone just to see if you received a text from them. All of the excitement of someone new in your life. But eventually, lust always dies. You get to know the person and it’s not new anymore. But if you’re lucky, those feelings get replaced by love. Love is knowing the person inside and out and still adoring them for it. Love is knowing that person isn’t perfect, but still accepts them for who they are. Love is knowing that person will be there for you always, and you will always be there for them. Never leave the one you love for the one you like means choosing a solid foundation that will last a lifetime, instead of choosing the new crazy feelings that feel good, but WILL go away eventually. “Don’t give up something that can make a permanent impact on your life over something temporary.” In the end once you’ve realized it too late, you never really know whats some things are worth until its gone.
